Michał Turyński is next Ambassador of The World Games 2017!
During Polish kickboxing championship in K-1 category which were held in Lower Silesia capital last weekend (10-12 of June) – Wrocław Organizing Committee announced next ambassador of The World Games 2017.
Michał Turyński is 30-year’s old athlete from Fighter Wroclaw club and current professional world champion in prestigious organization WAKO PRO in kickboxing (cat. super heavy). He won the world champion title against fans favourite fighter – Dzevad Poturaka in March, in Sarjevo.
– Kickboxing is one of the disciplines of next year’s The World Games 2017 competitions, where kickboxing is set to be one of our biggest hopes. We believe that the event and its disciplines will gain wide popularity. It is our great appreciation for Michał’s sport result and attitude to life. Michał Turyński represents everything what is the best sport. I believe that this is right way to promote kickboxing and non-Olimpic sports – said Marcin Przychodny, President of the Wrocław Organizing Committee The World Games 2017.
– Then you very much for this title. It is honor for Polish kickboxing. I promise that, together with the entire representation, we will give our best during The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw – declared Turyński.
In addition we would like to mention that the title of World Champion in WAKO PRO, Michał Turyński won on 11th of March. It is his biggest success to date. – Certainly I fought with the spirit of a lion with the athlete who, in theory, was classified in rank higher than me. However, at the end of the day history is made and championship title is mine. – said the Turyński during the interview for local media.
