Kraków plays squash
From Wednesday to Saturday (16th-19th September), in Squash4You club and on the glass court in Kraków Gallery, for the first time in Poland, the 28th European Club Championships are held.
15 men teams and 9 women teams will participate in the competition. The participants were selected based on the national competitions. This means that the competition will be attended by the champions and vice-champions of their countries.
Poland, in the men’s category, will be represented by two teams – Simple Kahuna Team and Lifestyles.expert Squash4You. Two women’s teams qualified for the competition, as well: Malaka Squash Ladies Team and Lifestyles.expert Squash4You.
The squash world’s leaders declared to participate in the event, namely: Simon Rosner (#6 in the world squash ranking), Mathieu Castagnet (#11), David Palmer (2-time World Champion). However, among women, Camille Serme (#3), Sarah-Jane Perry (#11), Emma Beddoes (#13) will appear.
At the competition, the top Polish players will appear, inter alia: Mateusza Kotra – the current Polish Champion, Wojciech Nowisz – multiple Polish Champion, Magda Kaminska – the current Polish Champion, Dominika Witkowska – 7-time Polish Champion.
Admission for the spectators is free of charge. On-line broadcasting is planned from the glass court in Kraków Gallery. It will be available on the websites of the service NaSquasha.pl. The full schedule of competitions and games is available here.
