Become a Sports Star!

Boring PE? Never again! The National Sports Day on the National PGE Stadium.

On Saturday, 3 October, at 12.00, on the grassland of the National PGE Stadium (from the Washington Roundabout side), large sports and family picnic “Become a Sports Star” will be held. Radosław Kawęcki, Dariusz Michalczewski, Paweł Korzeniowski and Joanna Jóźwik are just some athletes, who will be able to be met during this event!

The idea behind the event “Become a Sports Star” on the National PGE Stadium is to encourage children and youth to be physically active every day by proving that sport is not only health, but also great fun.

Moreover, the exhibition halls at the National PGE Stadium will be filled with more than 30 sport disciplines – inter alia the disciplines that in 2017 Wroclaw will host at the World Games! They will include: football, korfball, sumo, archery, sports dance, sports acrobatics, ultimate frisbee, kickboxing, lacrosse, floorball and squash. In order to meet the disciplines and the rules to play sports of The World Games 2017, we invite to follow the official account of The World Games 2017 on Facebook and visit the disciplines tab on our website.

Children will enjoy the sports competitions prepared by the animators of each of the disciplines, among which there will be popular athletes such as professional world champion of WBO, WBA, IBF in heavyweight category – boxer Dariusz “Tiger” Michalczewski and two-time world champion in swimming – Radosław Kawęcki. The only condition to be a part of this unique event and to be able to train with the best, is to register on the official website of the National Sports Day.

In addition to competitive sports, the whole family will be able to enjoy a number of other attractions. The organizers have prepared nearly 100 sports and family animations, shows of, inter alia, acrobatic rock’n’roll, workshops, competitions and meetings with famous athletes. In addition, it will be possible to take part in the National Fitness Test.

These are within the National Sports Day – the initiative that has become more and more popular for three years. Its aim is to promote physical activity and encourage to healthy lifestyle. Continuously from 2013, trainings and meetings with the best athletes and the Olympians have been the most popular.
