All eyes on Olympic Stadium during Saturday’s TWG events
Even though the 10th edition of The World Games are nearing their end, there is still a lot of excitement coming up in the final days. Saturday all eyes will be focused on events being held at Wrocław’s Olympic Stadium.
Naturally, everyone is waiting for the speedway racing competitions. MaciejJanowski, BartoszZmarzlik and Patryk Dudek will again take to the track as a trio in red and white, the same group that recently won the Team World Cup. Janowski also took top honours in the recent British Grand Prix in Cardiff. All this means that the host nation’s team will be heavily favoured in Saturday’s races. The tournament will also include Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Australia, Germany and Great Britain. Competitionkicks off at 19.00
The final, deciding matches of beach handball will take place right next to Olympic Stadium. Though Poland has been eliminated from medal contention already, they will take to the sands to compete in the consolation round and there is sure to be no lack of exciting action. The women’s final is planned for 15.00 with the men’s to follow at 17.00. The tourney starts at 9.00
And that’s not all that fans can look forward to at Olympic Stadium. The tug-of-war competitions will be held in the Multifunction Hall of the Academy of Physical Fitness (AWF). The tug-of-war competitions have proven extremely popular with fans and tickets have already been sold out. The tournament gets underway at 10.15 and will conclude at 18.15.
