IWGA is the International World Games Association, a non-governmental organization involved in the organization of major sport projects on an international scale since 1981.
IWGA brings together sports federations and associations from around the world. Every four years, under the aegis of the association, The World Games is organized, to promote sports representing affiliated federations and physical culture in general. Since its inception, IWGA has expanded its reach from 12 to 37 international sport federations, which has greatly contributed to the enrichment of the program of the next World Games.
IWGA is an association recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Both organizations cooperate on a regular basis, but they also have the same values, related to the promotion of healthy initiatives and physical activity and, consequently, the creation of conditions to improve the quality of social life.
The most recent World Games were held in 2013 in the Colombian city of Cali, while in 2017 it will be Wrocław to host The World Games.

Wrocław Organizing Committee
A great team of people with a passion for sport and other fields, work on the success of the project, which will be the 10th edition of The World Games in 2017. It is thanks to that group that The World Games now appears more clearly in our daily reality.
We work with federations, associations and institutions to promote physical culture and exercise. We also actively participate in tournaments, programs and sports events, organizing educational campaigns, meetings with players and interesting discipline presentations as a part of them. TWG 2017 team activates not just residents of the city, it engages in additional activities on a national scale.
The World Games 2017 in Wrocław is a celebration of sport, to which all are invited.
