600 days until The World Games 2017
In July 2017, the city will host 3500 athletes competing in 31 spectacular sport disciplines. On Saturday, 28 November, in the Pasaż Grunwaldzki shopping mall it will be possible to test your strength on a rowing ergometer with Olympic runner-up, Paweł Rańda, dance with the world champions in acrobatic rock’n roll, and take part in competitions to win one of many interesting prizes.
During the event, there will be numerous demonstrations and workshops led by athletes of The World Games. Muay Thai boxers, karate fighters from the Wrocław Asian Sports Club “Budokan” as well as numerous dance athletes will all be present to show off their skills. The main attraction will be a show put on by Anna Madzielec and Jacek Tarczyło – three-time world champions in acrobatic rock’n roll along with participants of the British edition of “Got Talent.”
Everyone will also be able to try on a American footballer uniform of this year’s runner-up American football team – Panthers Wrocław. It will also be possible to try your hand at playing squash and push your limits on a rowing ergometer. Members of the Polish water rescue team, who regularly win medals in international competitions, will be on hand to provide first aid instructions.
During the event, the hostesses will issue special cards on which you can collect stamps for practising sport. After collecting all the possible stamps, participants will receive a surprise gift at the information desk.
While attending this event in Pasaż Grunwaldzi, you can also stop by the special TWG stand to check out the virtual reality glasses, a unique piece of virtual reality technology that allows everyone to look through the eyes of a skydiver, experience being tackled by Poland’s American football star Babatunde Aiyegbusiego or feel the adrenaline of someone climbing a seven-meter wall.

Those who choose to take part in TWG trivia competition will be able to win special prizes every half hour and could have the pleasure of taking home a miniature version of TWG 2017 mascots- Hansel and Gretel. Their life-size versions will also be present and will gladly pose for pictures.
At approximately 16:00, the final of the Wrocław Open Championship on rowing ergometer will be held. Anyone can register, even on the day of the final. Paweł Rańda, the medalist from the Beijing Olympics and the ambassador of The World Games 2017, will lead the competition.
